Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Business Lawyer with a strong background in corporate law and IT services. The role involves providing expert legal guidance on commercial, contractual, and governance matters to support business operations with risk-mitigated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, master service agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, and vendor agreements with international clients.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on corporate compliance, employment, and regulatory matters.
  • Support business teams in client negotiations and ensure smooth deal closures.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, IT laws, and international regulations.
  • Manage legal risks and proactively provide counsel to leadership.
  • Liaise with external counsel for litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution.
  • Develop policies, processes, and compliance frameworks for global operations.
  • Conduct internal training and awareness sessions on compliance and best practices.

Requirements

  • LLB/LLM from a recognized institution.
  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, preferably in IT services or consulting organizations.
  • Strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, intellectual property, labor, and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mid-to-large IT services/consulting company.
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdictional contracts and cross-border legal issues.
  • Membership in a Bar Council / Corporate Legal Association is a plus.
