Business Agreement Specialist

As a key member of our business teams, you will be responsible for supporting the drafting, vetting and negotiating of agreements primarily related to business development, international business, trusts and other activities. Your role will involve advising on and structuring agreements to ensure alignment with the deal in hand and protecting the interests of the company.

You will work closely with stakeholders at various locations to ensure necessary statutory compliances are in place. Providing general legal advice and support by acting as a business partner to internal stakeholders is also a key aspect of this role. Dealing with both internal & external stakeholders is an essential part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Agreements - Drafting, Structuring, Vetting, Negotiating and Finalizing Agreements: You will draft, structure, vet, negotiate and finalize agreements in line with the business understanding and ensuring appropriate risk mitigation for the Company.
  • Statutory Compliances - Reviewing Statutory Compliances: You will review the statutory compliances at various locations and suggest remedial measures. Working with concerned stakeholders to ensure remedial measures are put in place in a timely manner is also a part of your responsibilities.
  • Risk Mitigation - Understanding Business and Analyzing Risk Involved: You will understand the business and analyze the risk involved and advise on mitigating liabilities for the Company.
  • Advisory - Advising Stakeholders from Time to Time: You will advise the stakeholders from time to time on various issues.

Educational Qualifications

  • LL.B. / LL.M.

Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical)

  • Drafting, vetting and negotiating various kinds of agreements within India and cross border.
  • Exposure to Statutory Compliances, Litigation and Intellectual Property law would be advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation skills and business and financial acumen.
  • Strong communications and drafting skills, including the ability to draft high quality agreements and other documents.
  • Well-versed in how business operates in a high degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas.
  • Ability to have influence across all levels of the business including peers and senior management, and able to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented, have good judgement and sound risk mitigating skills.
