Job Description:

The Planning Director will lead the planning function for a multinational player in sports equipment.

The role requires an experienced professional to work with a global brand leader in a dynamic and fast-paced culture.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Avg Demand & Supply Planning: Develop and maintain robust demand forecasting models using statistical methods and market intelligence, ensuring accurate forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • DIO Management: Monitor and optimize Days Inventory Outstanding to balance service levels with working capital efficiency, minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
  • Sales Analysis: Conduct comprehensive sales trend analysis, seasonality patterns, and market demand assessment to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Factory Capacity Planning: Collaborate with manufacturing to align production capacity with demand requirements, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing variability.
  • Level Loading: Implement production smoothing strategies to optimize resource utilization and minimize variability, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
  • OR Planning: Oversee Order Review planning processes to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial targets, driving business success.
  • Manage end-to-end supply planning process, from sourcing to delivery, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee purchase order management and supplier coordination to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
  • Implement inventory optimization strategies across all product categories to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with Product, Sourcing, and logistics teams to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations.

Strategic Planning & Analysis:

  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual plans and reports aligned with business objectives, providing insights to drive decision-making.
  • Conduct scenario planning and risk assessment for supply chain disruptions, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare executive-level reports on performance and recommendations, informing business strategy and driving growth.
  • Lead S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes and cross-functional meetings, fostering collaboration and driving business success.
  • Support Category managers with Category and product insights, driving informed decision-making and business growth.

Team Management:

  • Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development for team members, fostering growth and excellence.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team, driving innovation and improvement.
  • Establish clear KPIs and accountability measures for team performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
