Our Current Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and focused professional to join our team as a Technical Support Operations Manager.

The Role

This is a hands-on operational role that offers the candidate an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in software support and lifecycle management, with exposure to a range of technologies.

The role involves working with diverse support operations teams to provide the highest quality support to over 50 global clients.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage technical and product issues and escalations, delivering the highest level of developer satisfaction through resolving technical issues.
  • Work with a diverse team to take a customer-focused approach to managing and solving problems, including finding resolutions and improving the responsiveness to issues across teams.
  • Develop tools for automation of support tasks, data extraction, data analysis, etc.
  • Perform data queries and scripting to include writing and running scripts on a range of data in various databases, for issue resolution and for mining data to extract keys.
  • Analyse and troubleshoot applications, capture logs and network issues.
  • Use UI Front-end troubleshooting/debugging experience using developer tools and HTTP debugger Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
  • Work with knowledge bases/Wiki's.
  • Lead the resolution of key issues and use application knowledge to validate, prioritise and manage issue backlogs.
  • Manage a team.
Preferred Qualifications, Training and Experience
  • Bachelor or Postgraduate degree in Technology or Engineering
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in a software engineering environment, preferably with SaaS.
  • NET4.7/ .NET Core/ Standards, ASP .NET Core, MVC Framework.
  • Experience working in a diverse technical environment.
  • Experience in WCF / Web API / RESTful Services in C#.
  • Experience in API documentation with Swagger an advantage.
  • Experience with at least one-unit test framework.
  • Experience on html5/Angular/reactJs.
  • Experience in triage and troubleshooting issues
  • Experience in Database design and writing Stored Procedures, Functions, Statements, Triggers, Views, Joins, performing Query Optimisation and Performance.
  • Experience in establishing Continuous integration/Deployment services using Git/ SVN.
  • Strong knowledge on Design Patterns and SOLID principle.
  • Understanding of principles of Agile software development and support.
  • Experience with or an ability to contribute to the development of automation tools.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence and GITHUB/BITBUCKET as repositories.
  • Knowledge of BI tools.
  • Knowledge of Windows servers and hosting.
  • Experience working in Cloud environments. JavaScript frameworks, HTML5/CSS/JSON/XML
  • Strong communication skills and good judgment
  • Strong desire to learn in a multi-platform environment

This exciting opportunity comes with a competitive salary package of approximately £65,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
