Procurement Operations Lead

We seek a highly skilled Procurement Operations Manager to excel in our organization's day-to-day procurement operations. Key responsibilities include managing PR to PO conversion, fixed asset creation and capitalization, supplier re-certification, contract drafting, and system updates.

You will contribute to key performance metrics such as SLA, quality, and efficiency. Collaboration is expected with cross-functional groups including category managers, accounts payable, vendor risk management office, corporate ethics and compliance teams, information security and privacy, and contingent workforce program team.

Data analysis and problem-solving are crucial skills for success in this role. You will analyze data to drive issue resolution and process improvements, and act within the realm of activities as a buyer. Building weekly/monthly reports and representing the team on internal forums are also essential tasks.

Customer relationships are key to your success. You will handle user queries effectively, build awareness of common pitfalls, conduct periodic or need-based reviews with key partners, and provide clarity and support on procurement policies and standard methodologies.

This position involves special projects and driving continuous improvements. Operational excellence and scalability are top priorities.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's/Undergraduate degree in any subject area. A Master's will be an advantage.
  • Around 5-7 years of experience in Procurement Operations with exposure to product and services procurement in at least two categories.
  • A thorough knowledge of procurement processes is required, along with experience in P2P tools like Ariba/Coupa and ERP systems like SAP/Oracle.
  • Conversion of Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders and working with standard contract templates are essential skills.
  • Experience in contract drafting, collaborating with legal, and knowledge of legal terms in a contract is advantageous.
  • Working experience in multi-cultural/multi-region Shared Services or Procurement organizations will be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in reporting and metrics tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Intermediate to Advanced Excel are desired.
