Procurement Specialist Role

The Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in our organization, responsible for researching, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring software products. They work closely with leaders to understand software needs, recommend suitable solutions, and ensure all purchased software meets company specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and evaluate software products and services to meet company requirements.
  • Negotiate with software vendors to secure optimal pricing, terms, and conditions for software purchases.
  • Organize procurement activities from purchase request to purchase order (PR to PO) in the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Manage post-PO tasks and track renewals of all software licenses.
  • Ensure all purchased software complies with company standards and specifications.
  • Coordinate delivery, installation, and maintenance of software products and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of software licenses, subscriptions, and renewals.
  • Monitor software usage and suggest optimization strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments in software products and services.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. 5 to 15 years of experience in software procurement, preferably in a product company.
  3. Familiarity with software licensing and contract management.
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  5. Data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  7. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
