The Role of a Data Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled data specialist to join our team in database development.

A successful candidate will possess a strong command of SQL, experience with ETL processes, and a deep understanding of data modeling and database performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data integration and transformation using tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Design and implement data models (normalized and denormalized) for transactional and analytical purposes.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve database security, integrity, and availability.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in database development and management.
  • SQL Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and major RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
  • ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter, Snowflake.
  • Data Modelling Concepts: Knowledge of data modelling concepts (star schema, snowflake, normalization).
  • Performance Tuning: Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Version Control Systems: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Cloud-Based Databases: Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
