
Senior Solar Energy Account Manager

Job Overview:
As a seasoned commercial solar energy professional, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by developing and nurturing relationships with key clients in the commercial and industrial sectors. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing existing accounts and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver tailored solar energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the C&I segments, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights.
- Develop targeted strategies and campaigns to attract new clients and expand market reach.
- Work closely with clients to understand their energy requirements and provide solutions that align with their objectives and budget.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop optimized solutions.
- Provide consultation to clients on solar/renewable energy, sustainability, and environmental impact.
- Regulatory Knowledge
- Develop deep insights on regulatory requirements related to renewable energy.
- Advise clients on regulatory matters and assist them in navigating permitting, interconnection, and compliance processes.
- Knowledge of PPAs
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to structure and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) that align with clients' financial and operational requirements.
- Facilitate the implementation of PPAs, including contract execution, metering arrangements, and ongoing monitoring and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in commercial solar energy sales, business development, or account management roles.
- Proven track record of success in sales, business development, or account management roles, preferably within the solar energy industry.
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial energy markets and emerging trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
