
Sales Development Manager

Job Description
The primary goal of this position is to develop and implement sales strategies in the assigned market, ensuring brand presence and achieving desired business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Drive Sales Growth:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly sales targets through effective promotion of products to customers as per the business plan.
- Foster strong relationships with doctors and chemists for product promotion in clinics and retail outlets.
- Organize medical camps (CMEs) as per division strategy and customer needs.
- Plan and conduct merchandising and sampling activities as per Division strategy.
- Customer Management:
- Facilitate new product launches in the territory by identifying and targeting customers, meeting them at regular intervals, and sharing feedback with the company.
- Execute a customer management plan to ensure 100% coverage of doctors, meet minimum KPIs, collect market intelligence, manage retailer level inventory, and conduct prescription audits.
- Create and update customer lists having specified numbers of doctors/chemists as per therapy/product requirements.
- Brand Visibility:
- Ensure Abbott brands are prominently displayed on retailers' outlets as part of brand promotion strategy.
- Carry out activities across trade and clinics for brand visibility, attend retail meets, and market blitzes.
- Distributor Management:
- Generate purchase orders for Abbott brands as per the business plan.
- Evaluate distributors based on commercial standing, credit worthiness, and personal assets to recommend appointments.
- Ensure timely stock and sales statements from distributors and settle claims within specified time limits.
- Adhere to Abbott's Code of Business Conduct and set examples for its implementation.
- Ensure compliance with financial and administration systems, statutory and regulatory norms, and laws of the land.
- Demonstrate professional behavior aligned with Abbott Values and promote high-level customer service.
- Manage transactions and orders with accuracy and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Manage attrition of customer and resource bases.
- Participate in Strategy meetings, briefing sessions, doctors meets, workshops, training programs, and other initiatives to equip performance and improve company image.
- Ensure adherence to EHS policies, procedures, rules, and regulations and report incidents promptly.
