Job Title: Resident Services Manager

The Resident Services Manager is responsible for ensuring the health, security, and student-friendliness of hostel premises. This includes maintaining compliance with university policies and addressing the needs of residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hostel Operations:
    • Oversight of day-to-day hostel operations including accommodation, maintenance, housekeeping, and catering services.
    • Management of hostel room allocation and upkeep of updated records of hostel occupancy.
    • Monitoring of hostel infrastructure and prompt reporting of maintenance issues.
    • Ensuring hygienic conditions and proper functioning of hostel facilities.
  • Student Welfare & Discipline:
    • Maintenance of discipline, order, and decorum among hostel residents.
    • Addressing grievances and providing counseling support to students.
    • Ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of students within hostel premises.
    • Enforcement of hostel rules, regulations, and code of conduct.
  • Coordination & Supervision:
    • Supervision of support staff including ward boys, housekeepers, and security personnel.
    • Coordination with mess staff to ensure quality food service and timely meals.
    • Liaison with university administration on hostel-related matters.
    • Organization of hostel activities, orientation, and community-building events.
  • Safety & Security:
    • Ensuring secure arrangements within hostel premises.
    • Maintenance of visitor records and restriction of unauthorized entry.
    • Prompt action during emergencies (medical, safety, or disciplinary).
    • Compliance with fire safety and health regulations.
    Eligibility & Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's / Master's degree preferably in Management, Social Sciences, Education, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Resident Services Manager / Administrator preferably in an educational institution.
    • Ex-Serviceman preferred.
    • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to handle emergencies with calmness and responsibility.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and record-keeping.
    Other Requirements:
    • Willingness to reside in hostel premises.
    • Approachable, student-friendly, and disciplined attitude required.
    • Strong communication skills in English and Hindi language.
