Cloud Data Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Architect to lead the design and deployment of scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-based infrastructure, data engineering, and software development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure data architectures on cloud platforms like Databricks.
  • Develop and maintain complex data processing workflows using PySpark and Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Optimize Spark jobs for performance and cost efficiency on cloud platforms.
  • Guide a team of engineers to ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering and architecture.
  • Strong hands-on programming experience in Scala and Python.
  • Extensive experience with Apache Spark, including Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based infrastructure management tools like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
