Senior Data Engineering Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills in data engineering, including proficiency in tools such as Dataiku.

The successful candidate will lead data engineering initiatives and be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable and robust data pipelines to support business intelligence and advanced analytics projects. They will also apply best practices in data modeling to create efficient database architectures and ensure data integrity and performance.

Additionally, the candidate will implement, manage, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using various tools, maintain reliable and high-quality data flow and accessibility, and explore and implement solutions using Generative AI capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, strong expertise in data modeling techniques, and excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead data engineering initiatives and design, develop, and optimize scalable and robust data pipelines.
  • Apply best practices in data modeling to create efficient database architectures and ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Implement, manage, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using various tools.
  • Explore and implement solutions using Generative AI capabilities.
  • Deploy and manage scalable data solutions on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Ensure integration of data sources maintains high-quality, consistent, and accessible data.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Dataiku for data prep, visualization, and building end-to-end data pipelines and applications.
  • Strong expertise in data modeling techniques such as dimensional modeling (Kimball, Inmon).
  • Extensive experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with LLM Mesh or similar Generative AI frameworks.
  • Advanced skills in Python programming and SQL querying for data manipulation and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for scalable data deployments.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
