Senior Data Engineer

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Python Data Engineer to help us design, implement and optimize data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration with cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of Python, data engineering principles and experience in implementing scalable solutions in cloud environments.

The role involves designing efficient data pipelines using Python and cloud-based technologies, implementing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and leveraging cloud-native services for storage, processing and analysis of large datasets.

Responsibilities include collaborating with data scientists, analysts and stakeholders to design effective data models, ensure scalability, reliability and performance of the overall data infrastructure and continuously optimize data processes for improved performance, scalability and cost-effectiveness.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting issues, implementing data quality checks and validation processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams and creating comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes and cloud architecture.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Python
  • Extensive experience with data engineering frameworks like distributed data processing
  • Understanding and hands-on experience with workflow management tools like Apache Airflow
  • Familiarity with cloud-native services for data processing, storage and analytics
