Job Summary:

We are seeking a Revenue Recognition Senior Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting in the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough reviews of contracts to ensure revenue recognition aligns with applicable accounting standards
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to revenue and associated accounts
  • Support quarterly and annual external audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor requests
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams, including Operations, General Ledger Accounting, IT, etc.
  • Conduct various ad hoc revenue analysis and reporting as needed
  • Take ownership of special projects assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field with 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably revenue accounting
  • Public Accounting and/or professional services or IT industry experience highly preferred
  • CA / CPA or pursuing a CA/CPA certification advantageous

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition standard and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced skills
  • Workday experience beneficial
