About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Director to lead our Construction & Project Management Team in Goa. This is a key function at a respected international firm, offering opportunities for impactful work and career growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Programme Management: Provide scheduling inputs for the Master program, monitor preparation of micro-schedule for each trade in line with the Master schedule, track actual/potential delays, support forecasting of time for completion, and lead corrective actions to control/minimize delays.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control post QS recommendations for variations, support forecasting cost to completion, and plan/executing corrective actions/Variation Evaluation (VE) to control/minimize cost over-runs.
  • Site Management: Lead logistic planning and site management, monitor/manage site infrastructure required for construction activities, lead weekly review meetings with contractors, drive construction processes, and control coordination between trades.
  • Design Coordination/Document Control: Monitor timely receipt of General Foremen's Checks (GFC), issuance of Requests for Information (RFIs) to consultants, timely closure of RFIs, approval of shop drawings/prototypes/samples, manage proper document control at site, and ensure use of latest release drawings/documents for construction.
  • Contract and Commercial Management: Participate and provide inputs to prepare packaging strategy for tenders/procurement, support commercial team for tender documents with inputs related to site/logistics, scheduling, and project-specific special conditions of contract, review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and provide milestone schedule/methodology/quality/sequencing of activities and quantity variations.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years in construction management, project control, cost management & co-ordination, with 7 years as a Construction Manager, completed minimum 2 hotel projects, exposure working with large construction/project management organizations.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills with contractual writing ability, convey ideas concisely, good problem-solving skills with root cause analysis, understanding of hotel construction/sequencing of activities/inter-disciplinary coordination, proficiency in MS Project.
