Credit Risk Analyst Opportunity

Are you a detail-oriented professional looking for a challenging role in credit risk analysis? We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Analyst to lead our team in India, underwriting deals for the US market.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and economics, with experience in credit analysis, especially in the real estate industry. Exposure to the US market will be an advantage. Additionally, they will have experience in leading a small team of highly skilled analysts and interacting with clients and stakeholders to gather feedback and mentor the team accordingly.

The successful candidate will also have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. They will work closely with the Credit Committee in New York to ensure seamless functioning of the credit function and oversee daily underwriting pipeline and queues to ensure timely movement, balanced workloads, and efficient resource allocation.

As a key member of our team, the Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for ensuring quality of credit analysis, training and mentoring the team to ensure adherence to underwriting quality metrics, and ideating and executing process enhancements in the credit function to help improve quality of analysis and turnaround times.

Additionally, the Credit Risk Analyst will interact with Data Science team to help embed the latest in AI and machine learning into our underwriting processes and present hand-selected deals to investment committee for final approval.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • PG/Master's degree from a premier college with a specialization in finance, economics or a related field.
  • Additional financial qualification US CFA Level 2+ or FRM Level 2.
  • Experience in credit analysis, especially in the real estate industry. Exposure to the US market will be an advantage.
  • Experience in leading a small team of highly skilled analysts.
  • Exposure to US or European clients and managing offshore teams will be an advantage.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
