Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Food Quality Leader to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure the quality and safety of our food products.

Your primary focus will be on building effective relationships with external partners to identify and mitigate food safety, quality, and regulatory risks. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to support business growth and initiatives.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and manage cross-functional projects. Your risk assessment and management skills will be essential in identifying and mitigating potential risks to our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a safety culture within our organization
  • Drive commercialization of new products by building effective relationships with external partners
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts with our external partners to reduce risk, eliminate waste, and improve product quality
  • Provide FSQ leadership and direction through technical mastery in the areas of food safety risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, SPC, system capability, and sanitation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related scientific field
  • 5+ years of experience in quality and food safety roles, preferably in the flour milling industry
  • Excellent audit and travel skills, with the ability to spend up to 40% of your time at co-packer sites
  • High agility, with the ability to influence and manage projects
  • Risk assessment and management skills, with experience in risk mitigation
