Responsibilities- Identify and Develop Opportunities:
- Pursue new business prospects in the Commodities/Industry sector, including e-commerce firms, technology manufacturers, retailers, and distributors.
- Market Research & Strategy:
- Conduct in-depth research on customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
- Sales Pipeline Management:
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by engaging prospects via cold calls, networking, industry events, and referrals.
- Client Engagement & Presentations:
- Deliver persuasive sales pitches and proposals, showcasing the unique value and advantages of logistics services.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure effective onboarding and service execution.
- Negotiation & Contract Management:
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms that balance profitability with client satisfaction and market competitiveness.
- Relationship Management:
- Establish long-term relationships with key stakeholders including senior executives, supply chain professionals, and procurement teams in the sector.
- Market Intelligence:
- Track competitor activities, market shifts, and customer feedback to drive innovation and continuous improvement in service offerings.
- Sales Reporting:
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management, outlining performance metrics and improvement areas.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed on relevant industry regulations and ensure all business practices comply with legal and ethical standards.
Required Skills:
- Proven success in driving business growth and meeting/exceeding sales targets in logistics or related industries, especially within the Commodities/Industry space.
- Strong understanding of the technology and consumer durables sectors, including supply chain needs and market dynamics.
- Exceptional sales, negotiation, and influencing skills with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to simplify and present complex logistics solutions.
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated strength in building client relationships and leveraging industry networks.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
