Job Title:

A Strategic Relationship Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) within a designated region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements strategic plans to align with division objectives, fostering strong relationships between SME clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Supports workforce planning by providing valuable insights and inputs on department forecasts, ensuring seamless execution of business strategies.
  • Manages operating frameworks, provides guidance, and ensures implementation and review of work processes to achieve high performance standards and continuous improvement.
Performance Metrics:
  • Driving SME business strategy and execution in the region as per targets, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills.
  • Prepares yearly Business Development Plan in line with bank strategy for SME clients in the region, showcasing ability to think strategically.
  • Achieves target set in yearly budget for new and existing clients, manages budget and financials related to these targets, promoting fiscal responsibility.
  • Articulates region-specific strategy for growth of various products offered by the organization and liaises with Product Development Team, enhancing product offerings.
  • Manages talent within the team through career management, coaching, and mentoring, ensuring individual growth and success.
  • Formulates recruitment and resourcing strategies (e.g. location strategies), supporting organizational growth and development.
  • Reviews and coordinates quality principles and processes, maintaining high-quality service delivery.
  • Sponsors and ensures quality standards are met in management initiatives in the region, upholding excellence in all endeavors.
  • Ensures stringent fraud control policies are in place, safeguarding against potential risks.
  • Ensures minimal NPAs in the region, achieving optimal financial outcomes.
Talent Management:
  • Develops a continuous talent pipeline for key roles in the department and provides mentoring for high potential talent, nurturing future leaders.
  • Monitors and enables achievement of goals and KPIs for direct reports and ensures effective implementation of performance management process in the department, promoting accountability and results-driven culture.
  • Develops talent within the department by providing guidance, ongoing feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to individuals to enable achievement of defined goals, empowering employees to succeed.
Risk and Internal Control:
  • Governs implementation of risk-related policies and processes for the department, ensuring they meet regulatory and internal control requirements, maintaining a secure and compliant environment.
  • Reviews implementation of internal control systems in line with relevant operating procedures and regulatory requirements and takes corrective action based on audit findings, upholding highest standards of integrity and ethics.
