About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our technical strategy, architecture, and delivery of a cybersecurity platform.

This is a challenging leadership role: you'll be building and scaling a high-performing team, owning end-to-end engineering execution, and laying the foundation for our product and culture.

  • Own and execute the engineering roadmap in alignment with company goals.
  • Build and scale a lean engineering team, hiring and mentoring talent.
  • Drive the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software products.
  • Establish best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and architecture.
  • Collaborate with founders, product, and design to translate business needs into technical execution.
  • Make technical decisions on architecture, tools, and platform design.
  • Set and track engineering KPIs for velocity, quality, and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and bring in the right innovations at the right time.
Success Metrics
  • Build and scale an initial engineering team of 5–7 engineers.
  • Deliver the MVP release of our flagship product and set the roadmap for enterprise readiness.
  • Establish secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and monitoring baselines.
  • Define and document engineering best practices and architecture standards.
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in team velocity and product quality.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • At least 4+ years hands-on development experience.
  • At least 2–3 years in engineering management (team building, delivery).
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent.
  • Experience delivering SaaS products (cybersecurity, cloud, or compliance preferred).
  • Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling.
  • Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) or similar cloud environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
