SEZ Business Development Manager

At The Management Recruitment Group (MRG), we are seeking an experienced SEZ Business Development Manager to join our team in Mumbai.
The estimated salary for this position is ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,800,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
Job Description:
We are looking for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the SEZ operating model and regulatory framework to drive business development and customer solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensively understanding the SEZ operating model, regulatory framework, and processes to provide tailored customer solutions. This role supports business development by devising strategies to attract and retain customers, establishing operational ecosystems, and contributing to the expansion of SEZ businesses across new locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Master the SEZ operational model and regulations, particularly in the JNPA/Nhava Sheva area.
- Analyze customer requirements and design compliant SEZ solutions tailored to their supply chain needs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain competitive and compliant solutions.
Business Development and Customer Solutions:
- Collaborate with business development teams to create customer-focused SEZ strategies.
- Design bespoke solutions addressing unique operational and logistical requirements.
- Build and maintain a vendor ecosystem for efficient customer operations.
Strategic Planning for SEZ Expansion:
- Support SEZ growth initiatives and scaling to new locations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Leverage customer insights to contribute to strategic decision-making for SEZ expansion.
Candidate Requirements:
- Total experience of 10–20 years, including a minimum of 2 years in SEZ/EXIM business and the remainder in logistics or real estate leasing.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, with strong numerical and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and the local language preferred.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of SEZ operations, EXIM business, and the ecosystem in JNPA/Nhava Sheva.
- Sector-specific domain expertise in areas such as consumer electronics, automotive, FMCG, projects, and technology.
- Ability to leverage regulatory frameworks to create viable, attractive customer solutions.
