Sustaining Engineer Trainer Role

This Sustaining Engineer Trainer will be responsible for mentoring and upskilling engineers in sustaining engineering principles and practices. They will support product lifecycle management, from post-launch support to end-of-life.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training modules, workshops, and on-the-job guidance for engineers in sustaining engineering principles and practices.
  • Support product lifecycle management by guiding teams in implementing design changes and product modifications efficiently.
  • Lead CAPA investigations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are properly executed.
  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring product issues.
  • Promote reliability improvement initiatives and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation according to industry standards.
  • Foster collaboration with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Service teams.
  • Required Skills & Competencies:
  • Proven expertise in product lifecycle support and sustaining engineering.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent documentation, reporting, and technical writing skills.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-industry products, including medical devices, automotive, and electronics.
  • Ability to improve product reliability and performance metrics.
  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Experience with PLM software and reliability tools.
  • Prior experience training engineers in a multi-industry setup.
