Infrastructure Manager Job

The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's infrastructure operations to ensure seamless execution of on-premise datacenter management and cloud deployments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an infrastructure strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze existing infrastructure effectiveness and develop strategies for improvement or leveraging existing systems.
  • Negotiate the purchase of software, hardware, and IT supplies as approved by senior management.
  • Manage inventory of software licenses, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  • Interact with senior management/peers to gain acceptance on alternate approaches.
  • Manage outsourced teams for daily operations and activities.
  • Provide solutions to complex business problems requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Perform live disaster recovery activities and periodic DR drills.
  • Develop working knowledge of server, storage, database, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network technologies.
  • Manage production incidents and ensure regulatory compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure management for both on-premise datacenters and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong program and project management expertise.
  • Excellent planning and execution skills for infrastructure-related projects.
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as servers, storage, databases, operating systems, and networks.
  • Very good knowledge and exposure to cloud computing.
