Our Enterprise is looking for a highly skilled Senior GitLab Administrator to lead the implementation and management of its Enterprise-wide GitLab infrastructure.

  • This individual will be responsible for assessing the current infrastructure and determining requirements for implementing GitLab, as well as collaborating with internal and external teams to understand Enterprise Architecture and Security standards.
  • They will install, configure, and manage GitLab on servers, leveraging Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code tools, and integrate it with existing corporate tools and services.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong skills in security settings, access controls, and CI/CD pipeline configuration using GitLab CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
  • They must also provide training and support to team members on using GitLab effectively, monitor and troubleshoot issues with GitLab infrastructure, and develop and maintain documentation for GitLab setup and usage within the enterprise.
  • Furthermore, this role requires strong collaboration skills, enabling the team to tackle tasks based on priority and requirements, and contributing to deployment operations to ensure artefacts have been deployed successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Assess the current infrastructure and determine requirements for implementing GitLab, including integrating it with existing tools and services.
  • Security and Compliance: Configure security settings, access controls, and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Azure DevOps, while ensuring adherence to Enterprise Architecture and Security standards.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on using GitLab effectively, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Documentation and Communication: Develop and maintain documentation for GitLab setup and usage within the enterprise, as well as contribute to deployment operations to ensure artefacts have been deployed successfully.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of GitLab and its applications, including installation, configuration, and management.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools and configuration management systems.
  • Proficiency in security settings, access controls, and CI/CD pipeline configuration using GitLab CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with internal and external teams.
  • Ability to develop and maintain documentation for GitLab setup and usage within the enterprise.
