The Role of General Manager

The General Manager (GM) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operations, ensuring profitability, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction across all Collective Cuisines' locations.

Main Responsibilities

Strategic Management

The GM develops and implements business strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets, collaborating with stakeholders to align the vision and objectives across all locations. They stay ahead of market trends, adapting offerings to maintain competitiveness.

Operational Oversight

The GM oversees daily operations across all restaurants, ensuring consistency in service, food quality, and customer experience. They optimize workflow, inventory management, and supply chain logistics, establishing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Financial Management

The GM prepares budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for all restaurant outlets, analyzing profit margins, reducing operational costs, and improving overall efficiency. They monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure financial targets are met.

Team Leadership

The GM recruits, trains, and mentors managers and staff at each location, building a strong organizational culture focused on collaboration, excellence, and innovation. They conduct regular team meetings to review performance and address concerns.

Customer Relationship Management

The GM ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service and quality, managing customer feedback and complaints, and implementing changes where necessary. They foster community engagement through events, marketing, and social media initiatives.

Compliance and Risk Management

The GM ensures all operations comply with local laws, food safety regulations, and labor laws, conducting regular audits to maintain hygiene, safety, and operational standards. They mitigate risks by implementing preventive measures and resolving issues swiftly.

Marketing and Branding

The GM collaborates with marketing teams to promote the restaurant group through campaigns and partnerships, developing loyalty programs and promotional activities to boost customer retention. They maintain brand consistency across all locations.

Innovation and Development

The GM introduces new concepts, menus, or technologies to enhance the customer experience, fostering creativity among chefs and managers to keep offerings fresh and unique. They expand the business by exploring new markets, partnerships, or formats.

Reporting to Stakeholders

The GM provides regular updates to the ownership or board of directors on business performance, proposing actionable recommendations for growth and improvement. They ensure transparency in operations and financial reporting.

Qualifications

To be successful as a General Manager, candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or relevant background in hospitality. Industry experience of 5-10 years in restaurant or hospitality management is preferred.

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this position is ₹7-8 lakhs per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
