Estimated Salary: ₹1,500,000 - ₹2,500,000 per annum

About the Role

The Regional Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of our Amazon Fresh Fulfillment Center in Haryana. This includes managing a team of Team Leads, coaching and mentoring them to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations, and developing leadership bench strength within the facility.

The ideal candidate will have experience in employee and performance management, with a strong background in process improvement and lean techniques. They will be able to drive creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed business plan.

The Regional Operations Director will work closely with support staff, including HR Manager, Financial Manager, Facilities Manager, S&LP Manager, and Other Ops. Managers, IT Manager, to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drives creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed Business Plan.
  • Sets/clarifies requirements and expectations for Regional Operations Directors.
  • Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Team leads accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
  • Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among the network.
  • Works closely with support staff (HR Manager, Financial Manager, Facilities Manager, S&LP Manager, and Other Ops. Managers, IT Manager) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.
  • Able to address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area.
  • Surfaces issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas, along with ideas for solutions, to Sr. Ops, General Manager, and/or HR.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Review the work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to produce during the day to meet the overall building objectives.
  • Partner with other Regional Operations Directors to balance labor ensuring that you are operating a balanced and efficient shift while meeting all of your goals.
  • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
