Job Title: Desktop Engineer

The Desktop Engineer is a vital member of the IT & Information Security team, responsible for delivering expert technical support and services to ensure seamless operation of desktop systems across the organization.

">Responsibilities:
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, and related hardware.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
  • Providing excellent customer service via phone, email, or in-person, ensuring user satisfaction with technical support.
  • Installation, configuration, and upgrading of operating systems and software to meet business needs.
  • Monitoring and maintaining optimal performance of desktop systems, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Performing regular hardware and software upgrades, as well as security patches, to maintain a secure environment.
  • Documenting hardware and software configurations, maintenance procedures, and user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborating with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues and support projects, driving business success.
  • Managing inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Strong technical skills and experience with desktop hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on effective troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices, staying up-to-date with the latest technology developments.
  • Prior experience in a desktop support role is highly desirable.
