Key Account Manager for Industrial Automation

Job Description:

The role requires the candidate to work with a global leader in industrial automation, offering advanced products and solutions to customers across diverse industries. This company has a strong global presence, enabling its clients to achieve efficiency, precision, and innovation in their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive client acquisition strategy for global and strategic accounts, focusing on identifying, engaging, and acquiring large accounts such as Amul, Nestlé, Cadbury, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and similar FMCG/packaging majors.

The candidate will develop and implement strategies for penetrating large global accounts in Food, Confectionery, Beverages, and Packaging sectors. The goal is to deliver a sales funnel of ₹300 Cr annually through new client wins and double partner (dealer) business from ₹200 Cr to ₹400 Cr within two years.

Dealer/Channel Management:

The incumbent will drive growth across 80+ dealers, scaling business from ₹200 Cr to ₹400 Cr in 2 years through structured programs. This includes strengthening dealer capability in technical selling, solution integration, and account management, monitoring dealer performance through robust review mechanisms, KPIs, and incentive frameworks.

Revenue & Market Growth:

The candidate will build and manage a sustainable sales funnel of ₹300 Cr annually from new accounts, upsell and cross-sell across automation product lines to maximize revenue per client, and expand market share in target industries by positioning integrated automation solutions.

Strategic Market Intelligence:

The incumbent will continuously analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to refine strategies, providing inputs to product and solution teams for portfolio enhancement.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 20+ years in Sales & Marketing within Industrial Automation preferably across pneumatics, motion control, sensors, PLCs, and mechatronics.
  • Proven success in acquiring and managing strategic accounts in the industrial automation domain.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealer/channel management with Pan-India exposure.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with direct customers, consultants, and industry influencers.
  • Solid commercial acumen with the ability to structure large, complex deals.
