Senior Data Engineer Role

Job Description: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for owning customers' data onboarding processes and working directly with customers' data teams to onboard data integration and ETL processes.

Key aspects of this role include taking the lead in major data onboarding workstreams with new customers, pilots, and POCs. You will also work closely with customers' data teams on data interfaces, specs, and integration projects. This position requires designing, developing, and maintaining ETL from various data streams via multiple consumption methods such as Blob, Kafka, SFTP, SQL connectors, and REST API.

Additionally, you will perform data validation activities, normalize, and explore datasets, investigate, and solve data-related problems. Developing data queries and extractions for customer success managers and Customer Value teams is another key responsibility.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of experience in data onboarding, big data, BA, B Sc in Information Systems, Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics, or other related disciplines.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, building data pipelines, data management, Azure cloud, and/or Databricks exposure, and/or Airflow.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in querying large, complex data sets.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining ETL/ELT preferably using Talend.
  • Experience in working with relational/non-relational databases to turn data into meaningful insights.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing role, project management capabilities, dealing with customer expectations and deadlines, and excellent communication skills.
