Senior Culinary Expert

The primary responsibility of the Senior Culinary Expert is to maintain an efficient operation by constantly analyzing quality and cost of food production.

This individual must be able to think critically, make informed decisions, and implement processes that drive results. A high level of leadership and management skills are required to direct a team of culinary professionals in achieving operational excellence.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Maintain high standards of quality and cost control in food production.
  • Provide ongoing training and ensure that company standards are followed.
  • Ensure safe, quality food products and excellent guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement systems, procedures, and rules to improve service and product quality.
  • Work within a technical area of expertise to enhance the quality of service and product provided.
  • Adopt an accommodating and helpful manner when interacting with colleagues and guests.
Requirements:
  • Advanced culinary skills, leadership, and experience.
  • Minimum 8 years in the profession (Quality Hotels and Restaurants).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role in a well-recognized luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to lead and make decisions.
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Experience in coaching subordinates.
  • Cost and quality consciousness.

This position requires a flexible individual who can adapt to changing circumstances and work effectively under pressure.
