As an IT Sourcing Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues to deliver defined business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop effective collaboration and ensure strong communication with key stakeholders and colleagues to achieve defined business goals.
  • Create a client stakeholder matrix per category/location, maintaining regular engagement and driving high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Manage supplier relationships for assigned suppliers.
  • Act as the primary contact person for IT sourcing initiatives with expertise on one of the following sub-categories: HW, SW, SaaS, Network, Telecom, Co-lo.
Sourcing Strategy:
  • Perform spend and contract analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and cost reduction strategies.
  • Formulate category-specific cost/license/service models tailored to meet business needs.
  • Work with clients and colleagues to define and implement global and regional IT strategies and sourcing plans.
Project Management:
  • Lead and execute IT sourcing projects from start to finish in line with agreed timelines and service quality standards.
  • Deliver allocated savings targets through effective management of sourcing initiatives, with regular tracking and reporting of savings achievements.
  • Adhere to defined sourcing policies and processes.
  • Ensure high ethical standards in supplier and/or client engagements.
Expert Support:
  • Provide expert sourcing advice, solutions, and support to client engagements and pitches.
  • Offer sourcing planning and execution services across a dynamic, multi-client environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (ideally in economics or Supply Chain Management) or relevant industry experience.
  • Additional sourcing/procurement certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong written and spoken English and Simplified Chinese skills.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 12 to 15 years' experience in strategic sourcing, ideally gained in an international environment.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to influence people positively and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Proven sourcing and contracting experience in IT Infrastructure Products and Services, Office IT Products and Services, and Cloud and Datacenter services.
  • Deep understanding of license models, service models, IT applications, and infrastructure.
  • Ability to negotiate and maintain relationships with third-party IT vendors like IBM, Oracle, Wipro, and small OEMs.
  • Highly competent in negotiations and contract knowledge with a strong ability to converse, negotiate with suppliers/clients, and review contracts in English.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Experienced in conducting tenders (request for information/proposal/quotation).
  • Cross-category sourcing experience is beneficial.
