IT Procurement Manager Job Description

This is a key role within our organization, responsible for managing end-to-end commercial and procurement aspects across all IT categories.

  • Manage end-to-end commercial and procurement aspects within all IT categories to ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
  • Ensure proper spend categorization to optimize resource allocation and maximize value.
  • Lead and execute strategic/tactical projects, applying sourcing approaches tailored to scope and business requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders to drive collaborative partnerships.
  • Advise internal business partners on end-to-end procurement processes, policies, templates, RACI, deal risks, and possible mitigation steps.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable sourcing processes, policies, and regulations.
  • Independently execute RFP/RFCQ processes for assigned categories, including contract negotiation, vendor selection, and awarding.
  • Develop and implement plans in line with category strategy, decision trees, and playbooks, leveraging procurement/sourcing tools.
  • Consolidate the supplier base and pursue alternative sources to ensure uninterrupted supply of services.
  • Conduct periodic market research for assigned categories, monitoring market trends and supply/demand factors.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, with a focus on IT categories.
  • Significant experience in procurement/sourcing and contracting for Cloud Services.
  • A deep understanding of analyzing category cost structures.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate at all levels.
  • Experience with electronic procurement/sourcing tools (Ariba, Ivalua, PeopleSoft, etc.).
  • A strong grasp of Source/Procure-to-Pay processes and tools.
  • Experience working within a strong compliance and regulatory culture.
  • A risk and control mindset, with an understanding of Supplier Screening programs.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including experience using Excel pivot tables and PowerPoint to support analytical techniques and data presentation.
  • The ability to extract detailed procurement requirements from internal business stakeholders and translate them into contract language.
  • Proactive identification of material, unmitigated business or contract risks, with effective communication and solution-finding skills.
  • A tenacious and resilient approach, skilled in building relationships and navigating complex organizational dynamics.
  • A collaborative style, including experience navigating matrix organizational responsibilities, organizational change, and global teamwork.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills required.
  • An Engineering Graduate degree.
