Restaurant Management Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Management Assistant to join our team. This role involves assisting in the daily supervision of restaurant operations, assisting with menu planning, and maintaining sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of restaurant teams by handling employee questions and concerns, monitoring employees to ensure performance expectations are met, and providing feedback based on observations of service behaviors.
  • Supervise daily shift operations in the absence of the Restaurant Manager or Director of Restaurants.
  • Conduct day-to-day restaurant operations by ensuring all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms, communicating with the Chef and Restaurant Manager regarding food quality and service levels, and ensuring compliance with all restaurant policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels, supervising staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met, and encouraging employees to provide excellent customer service within guidelines.
  • Perform human resource activities such as supervising ongoing training initiatives, using available on-the-job training tools for employees, and coaching and counseling employees regarding performance on an ongoing basis.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major and 2 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
