Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Estimator who is passionate about the broadband, telecom and outside plant industry.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in estimating within this industry and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

This role involves reviewing RFP documents to grasp project scope, requirements and customer objectives. The successful candidate will develop tailored estimate templates for each RFP project and utilize their expert Excel skills to build cost breakdowns, schedules and resource plans.

The Estimator will also collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate estimates, conduct analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to present estimates and recommendations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for staying updated on industry trends, regulations and best practices, as well as performing miscellaneous duties related to estimating as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven Experience:
  • Experience in estimating within the broadband, telecom or outside plant industry.
  • Expertise:
  • Expertise in Excel with complex spreadsheet development.
  • Self-Motivated Individual:
  • A self-motivated individual with passion for the industry and drive for excellence.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum 3 Years' Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial and industrial low voltage and/or fiber optic cabling project coordination and estimating.
