Job Description:

This role involves overseeing the lifecycle of software assets, encompassing procurement, license management, compliance, renewals, and vendor coordination.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing software requests via a digital platform, validating license availability, and assigning licenses through vendor portals. They will also initiate license harvesting or procurement when necessary.

In addition to software request and license management, the ideal candidate will track contract expirations using dashboards, coordinate with legal and procurement teams for contract reviews and renewals, and ensure Ariba contracts are active and published before creating purchase requisitions.

They will create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP, collaborate with a Center of Excellence team for PR processing, and document all approvals.

Key responsibilities also include managing vendor interactions via shared mailboxes, ensuring communications are tagged to relevant Remedy tickets, and coordinating with vendors for quotes, license keys, and order confirmations.

The selected candidate will coordinate with desktop engineering and local IT teams for software packaging and deployment, track deployment status, update Remedy tickets, and manage add-ons and plugin deployments via Intune and Microsoft Entra.

Finally, they will conduct regular license usage reviews, reclaim unused licenses, ensure all actions are documented for audit and compliance purposes, and provide accurate license data for internal and vendor audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in Software Asset Management or IT Procurement.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, Asana, Remedy (BMC Helix), and Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance.
  • Experience with vendor portals and contract management systems.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ITIL Foundation or SAM certification (e.g., CSAM, ITAM).
  • Experience with Intune, Microsoft Entra, and Azure Cost Management.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and legal contract review.
