Job Purpose:

As a Therapy Business Manager at Abbott India Limited, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies in assigned markets. Your primary goal will be to drive primary sales, secondary sales, and ensure brand presence in defined markets. You will supervise and manage the distributor network to achieve desired sales objectives, ensuring the achievement of financial and ethical objectives of the division as per the business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute monthly and quarterly business plans.
  • Plan for trade activation business and overall sales.
  • Monitor actual sales and make mid-course corrections to reduce variance against expectations.
  • Prescription audit for Abbott brands and other competitors' brands.
  • Create and update customer lists having specified numbers of doctors/chemists as per the therapy/product requirement.
  • Identify potential towns and appoint distributors and customers (trade) in line with business philosophy.

Business Generation & Development:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly sales targets by promoting company products ethically to customers as per the business plan.
  • Have science-based discussions with doctors and chemists for product promotion in clinics and at chemist places.
  • Organize camps (CME) as per division strategy and customer needs.
  • Carry out activations across trade and clinics for brand visibility.
  • Plan and conduct merchandising and sampling activities as per division strategy.

Customer Management:

  • Ensure that scheme on Abbott products as per company norms are communicated to customers for business generation and updating customers' knowledge on Abbott brands.
  • Update customer/doctor lists as per business strategy.
  • Generate primary orders as per business strategy.
  • Execute trade activation/retail royalty programs and other reward and recognition programs for trade and consumers.

Leadership & Compliance:

  • Lead and execute strict adherence to Abbott's Code of Business Conduct.
  • Set examples on implementation of the Code of Business Conduct, FCPA, Pharmacovigilance to ensure compliance.
  • Conform to all financial and administration systems, compliance to statutory and regulatory norms of the company and laws of the land.
  • Demonstrate and promote professional behavior in line with Abbott's Values of Pioneering, Achieving, Caring, and Enduring.

Authorization:

You are authorized to build the company's reputation in your territory and will be responsible for practicing and leading other junior team members of the company by setting personal examples of excellence in the above-mentioned areas.
