Cashier Operations Assistant Job Summary
This role is responsible for assisting the department in the end-of-month closure process, preparing journals for accounting software, and ensuring reconciliation of ledgers. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the same position and be a native Arabic speaker with fluency in verbal and written English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of journals for accounting software.
- Reconcile cash receipts with the PMS system and prepare the daily GC report.
- Provide monetary change to personnel and issue due backs to cashiers as needed.
- Prepare and maintain over/short reports/logs by cashiers daily.
- Disburse petty expenses to the department adhering to hotel policies and procedures.
- Participate in hotel float audits frequently.
- Assist in cashier training and be available to support cashiers in resolving cash handling problems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a business or hospitality management-related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in the same position.
- Prior experience in pre-opening.
- Native Arabic speaker with fluency in verbal and written English.
- Highly capable user of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Previous working experience in a truly global work environment.
