Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Administrator to join our team in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading international organization and contribute to the success of our projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day financial and administrative support to staff, including handling accounts payable, preparing and submitting monthly financial reports, and reviewing financial documents for accuracy and validity.

You will also be responsible for accurately allocating codes, tracking, and timely processing vendor and consultant invoices, and staff expense reports for payments. Additionally, you will reconcile and monitor travel expense reports and project expenses as per rules of the organizations.

Maintaining proper documentation of all financial transactions and filing of accounting documents and maintaining accounting records compatible with standard accounting practice of Jhpiego and Donor guidelines is also a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day financial and administrative support to staff
  • Handle accounts payable, prepare and submit monthly financial reports
  • Review financial documents for accuracy and validity
  • Accurately allocate codes, track, and timely process vendor and consultant invoices, and staff expense reports for payments
  • Reconcile and monitor travel expense reports and project expenses as per rules of the organizations
  • Maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions and filing of accounting documents
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce or Financial Management or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Finance and Accounts preferably with an international NGO in a multi-donor environment
  • Demonstrated experience of managing Finance & Administrative functions in field
  • Experience in operating accounting software, good knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
