About Reliability Engineering

We are looking for skilled professionals who want to make a difference in our organization. Our team combines development and operations knowledge to improve an organization's reliability.

As a reliability engineer, you will work closely with product development teams and other engineering teams to ensure effective observability and improve reliability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Helping the organization achieve its reliability goals by working closely with product development teams.
  • Tackling complex problems while championing standards and best practices.
  • Ensuring the scalability, performance, and resilience of our products and processes.
  • Identifying recurring problems and anti-patterns in development, operational, and security processes.
  • Developing automation that targets multiple environments.
  • Giving back by contributing to Open-Source projects.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and track record working in distributed teams.
  • A passion for making things better for peers.
  • Experience managing cloud services and operational knowledge of managing applications via automation.
  • Fluency in at least one scripting language like Typescript, Python, or Bash.
  • Experience with SDLC methodologies (preferably Agile).
  • Experience with Observability (Logging, Metrics, Tracing) and SLI/SLO.
  • Working with APM, monitoring, and logging tools.
  • Good understanding of containerization concepts - docker, Kubernetes.
  • Troubleshooting and responding to incidents and setting a standard for others to prevent issues in the future.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts.
  • Experience on Server configuration through Ansible or equivalent.
  • Working experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Couchbase, Postgres, etc.
  • Using data to troubleshoot and find performance bottlenecks.
