Sr SQL Server Database Administrator – Azure

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in cloud computing and database management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing, securing, optimizing, and migrating SQL Server environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer SQL Server databases on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Plan, implement, and oversee cloud-based database services for high availability and cost efficiency.
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and monitoring.
  • Configure disaster recovery, backups, and high availability solutions.
  • Implement security policies, access controls, and compliance standards.
  • Plan and execute database migrations from on-premises to the cloud.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for CI/CD and database lifecycle management.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and address database health and capacity concerns.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with cloud-based SQL Server and database management.
  • Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
  • Deep knowledge of T-SQL, backup/recovery, replication, indexing, and security configurations.
  • Familiarity with cloud services like Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Automation.
