**Job Title:** Area Sales Manager - Retail Business Developer
ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team in Delhi. As a key member of our retail sales operations, you will be responsible for generating business in the region with the help of channel partners.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver revenue objectives for Yale Retail business as per plan in the assigned territory
- Review performance of existing distribution channels and highlight gaps to the manager
- Identify new channel partners to expand reach and counter presence
- Build and manage demand generation for all product categories through planned activations in the retail market
- Engage with key influencers like carpenters and local contractors/architects/builders to ensure regular and structured engagement
- Support working capital management by ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments
- Formulate promotional activities as part of brand building
- Organize structured sessions to ensure product knowledge to all stakeholders of channel partners
- Increase secondary sales by ensuring counter presence, territory reach, and visibility of products where end customers visit frequently
- Conduct continuous market analysis and support Area Sales Manager for forecasts and budgeting
**Requirements:**
- Familiarity with retail business, preferably in the building material industry
- Knowledge of architectural bases in the assigned territory
- Strong time discipline, work ethic, phone, email, and in-person communication skills
- Responsiveness, organization, and energy
- High level of integrity and ownership of responsibilities
- Drive for results and execution excellence, following up with stakeholders until results are achieved
- Developing partnerships and keeping stakeholders updated on progress of projects and activities on time
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
