Purpose:

The role entails overseeing a team responsible for processing new business and end-to-end policy servicing for group business.

Context:

This position operates within the Operations Department, focusing on Group New Business & Policy Servicing to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Main Priorities:

  • Coordinate with Sales and Actuarial teams for individual Group process closure
  • Efficiently issue policies and resolve customer and intermediary queries
  • Foster an efficient, effective, professional, and courteous service for intermediaries and customers
  • Adhere to established procedures consistently, contributing to improvements whenever feasible
  • Implement and maintain agreed quality and quantity controls, aiding proactive management and anticipating problems
  • Supervise and train an effective team capable of meeting business needs as they evolve
  • Facilitate finance reconciliation of policy account balances
  • Lead transformation and digitization of group business initiatives

Qualifications & Experience -

MBA/ACII with a minimum of 8–10 years' experience gained in customer services or operations. Associate of Insurance Institute is an added advantage.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Proven operations expertise in the financial services industry.
  • Experience within Group Operation departments of insurance companies is essential.
  • Data processing skills to enhance operational efficiency
  • Proficiency in using databases and office management software, including word processors and spreadsheets
  • Strong leadership, team building, and influencing skills
