Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager to oversee the mechanical maintenance function of an automotive sheet metal manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing production and utility equipment, ensuring maximum machine uptime, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Preventive, Predictive, and Breakdown Maintenance Schedules: Ensure all production and utility equipment operate smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing availability.
  • Equipment Management: Supervise fabrication machines, welding lines, paint shops, assembly lines, utility systems, electrical & automation systems, and minimize downtime.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, guide, and supervise a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians across multiple shifts, conduct skill upgradation programs for maintenance staff, and enforce strict adherence to plant safety practices.
  • Continuous Improvement & Cost Control: Apply TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and root cause analysis (RCA) for reducing repetitive breakdowns, drive automation upgrades & energy-saving initiatives, optimize maintenance costs while improving machine reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in hydraulic, pneumatic, robotics, automation, and control systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent team leadership and cross-functional coordination abilities
  • B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical exposure preferred)
  • 15–20 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in auto/auto-component or sheet metal industry, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role
