Enterprise IT Director Job Description

The Enterprise IT Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and maintenance of all hardware and software deployment within the organization.

  • Authorize and oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of enterprise-wide infrastructure to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and enforce configuration and performance standards for network operations to guarantee optimal functionality and scalability.
  • Evaluate business needs and objectives to identify innovative solutions that meet the requirements of various stakeholders.
  • Analyze complex IT demands and recommend technical solutions that drive business value and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project plans and coordinate deliverables, ensuring successful project implementation.
  • Design, configure, and optimize hardware, operating systems, networks, storage, and backup devices to ensure reliability, availability, and performance in both physical and virtual environments.
  • Develop or assist in developing IT policies and procedures, including those related to security, disaster recovery, standards, and service provision.
  • Oversee the implementation, compliance, and maintenance of IT policies and procedures to ensure organizational consistency and risk mitigation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant work experience is also acceptable.
  • Prior experience in managing clinical imaging data software and hardware systems is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in directing enterprise IT operations is required.
  • Certifications in enterprise networking, virtualization, or security are desirable.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in HIPAA and/or GDPR compliance is necessary.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications and proficiency in maintaining desktop information technology systems are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality control review of technical documents and reports.
  • At least three years of ITIL experience, with certification being a plus.
  • Five years of experience managing cloud, PAAS, or SAAS environments, directly or through Managed Service Providers, is beneficial.
