Financial Leadership Role

This is a senior-level position that oversees the strategic and operational aspects of finance for Banqueting & Catering businesses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving compliance, profitability, and process excellence across all financial activities.

  • Strategic Financial Planning: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, management information systems reporting, and financial planning for banquet and catering operations.
  • Accounts Management: Lead and manage accounts, payables/receivables, cost control, revenue optimization, and internal controls.
  • Financial Analysis: Review and analyze profit and loss statements, cash flows, and operational metrics specific to banquet and catering projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure statutory compliance with Goods and Services Tax, tax deducted at source, income tax, and other regulations; coordinate with auditors and tax authorities.
  • Process Improvement: Implement financial best practices, controls, and enterprise resource planning systems tailored to banqueting/catering.
  • Business Partnership: Partner with operations and sales teams to plan profitable events, track margins, and control expenses.
  • Leadership Support: Support leadership in decision-making with clear financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise the finance team; drive a culture of continuous process improvement and financial integrity.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor contracts, payment cycles, and timely disbursements to suppliers and service partners.
  • Cost Optimization: Conduct variance analysis, highlight cost-saving opportunities, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Chartered Accountant or Master's in Business Administration (Finance) or equivalent, with experience in hospitality/banqueting/catering.
  • Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of overall finance experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Skillset: Strong expertise in budgeting, compliance, management information systems, financial modeling, event/catering cost controls.
  • Technology: Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or hospitality enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Priorities: Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Culture Fit: High integrity and process orientation; experience in audit and statutory reporting.
