Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Years Programme Coordinator to lead and enhance our educational programme.

About the Role:

  • Curriculum Management: Develop, implement, and review the Primary Years Programme curriculum in alignment with International Baccalaureate (IB) guidelines.
  • Teacher Support: Collaborate with teachers to ensure effective delivery of the Primary Years Programme and foster a culture of inquiry and reflection.
  • Inquiry-Based Learning: Provide guidance and support for teachers in the development of transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences.
  • Professional Development: Organize and lead professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with parents and the school community to promote understanding of the Primary Years Programme.
  • Assessment Coordination: Coordinate and support student assessments and maintain records as per IB requirements.
  • Staying Current: Stay updated with IB developments and changes to ensure adherence to IB standards.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication between all stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the IB organization.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • IB Certification: IB Primary Years Programme Coordinator training or certification.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching and a strong understanding of the IB framework, particularly the Primary Years Programme.
  • Skills: Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to professional growth.
