ServiceNow Lead Developer/ Admin Job Description

This is a leadership role that oversees the administration of the ServiceNow platform across multiple modules.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering the ServiceNow platform across ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, CMDB, HRSD, FSM, Workplace Delivery, and EC Pro modules.

  • Providing technical expertise in Flow Designer, business rules, client/server scripts, ACLs, and creating catalog items, approval workflows, dynamic forms, SLAs.

  • Hands-on experience with domain separation, scoped apps, data import/export, UI policies, integrations with third-party systems, and setting up metrics like ticket volumes, deflection rates, module usage, and SLA performance.

  • Leveraging leadership skills to manage instance upgrades, patch management, clone processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to define and streamline workflows.

  • Maintaining compliance and governance through audit preparation, compliance documentation, and training L1/L2 teams.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 7+ years administering the ServiceNow platform.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Flow Designer, business rules, client/server scripts, ACLs, and skilled in creating catalog items, approval workflows, dynamic forms, SLAs.
  • Integrations: Ability to integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Proficient in setting up and tracking metrics.
  • Upgrades & Maintenance: Leadership in instance upgrades, patch management, and clone processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Governance: Experienced in audit preparation, compliance documentation, and training.
