Accounting Operations Manager

Job Description:

  • Manage overall accounting strategy and day-to-day finance operations.
  • Oversee general ledger, payroll, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Handle reconciliations related to capital assets, trust accounts, check runs, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to generate timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining a deep understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Drive timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures as per company expectations.
  • Assist the Controller/CFO with daily banking requirements, including accurate processing of positive pay transactions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CA / CMA / ICWA qualified with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), or semi-qualified professionals with 8 - 9 years of relevant combined experience.
  • Proven experience in overseeing accounting operations and managing general ledger processes across multiple entities.
  • Solid understanding of Income Tax and GST provisions, with practical application to day-to-day transactions.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written, with the ability to engage confidently across teams and with leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with ZOHO and Tally is essential.
