About Venture Capital

Renate Capital Fund I is a Category II AIF venture capital fund investing in revenue-positive Indian startups solving core Indian problems.

Role Overview

You will be part of the core team working directly under the Managing Director and responsible for sourcing investors, structuring deals, closing deals, evaluating startups, managing due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deal Sourcing: Identify investors through networks, events, inbound leads, accelerators, and referrals.
  • Evaluation of Investments: Analyze business models, financials, traction, and scalability of potential investments.
  • Due Diligence: Support legal, financial, and compliance checks on shortlisted startups.
  • Portfolio Support: Work with portfolio companies on fundraising, growth strategy, and performance tracking.
  • Market Research: Conduct deep dives into sectors, prepare market maps, and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Fund Operations: Assist with investment memos, reporting to LPs, and internal fund documentation.
  • Ecosystem Building: Represent the fund at startup events, demo days, and founder meetings.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • 6-12 months of experience in VC, PE, consulting, investment banking, or startup strategy.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Strong networking skills and prior built-up network.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced lean team environment.
Compensation:
  • A fixed monthly salary between ₹18000 LPA to ₹28000 LPA.
  • A performance-based bonus.
  • Long-term incentives carry participation possible for high performers.
