Associate Director Job Description

This is a senior-level position within our organization that oversees the development and implementation of business strategies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic guidance on mobility laws, licensing, permits, and aggregator regulations across India.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with external parties to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support policy and regulatory engagement by working closely with government authorities and industry bodies to stay up-to-date on emerging mobility frameworks.
  • Manage consumer litigation, regulatory disputes, and class actions in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations impacting the platform, including consumer protection, competition, data privacy, and labor laws.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed compliance-by-design practices and mitigate legal and reputational risks.
  • Mentor and guide team members; act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • LL.B. (LL.M. preferred) with 12–16 years PQE, ideally with experience in technology, platform, or regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian mobility/transport laws, consumer protection frameworks, and platform liability.
  • Ability to analyze complex information, identify key issues, and develop effective solutions.
